Two bags

So Coach for the past few years has been so overrated by the typical American buyer. What was once a high quality brand that produced traditional baseball mitts and a few fine leather goods suddenly became the brand with the printed canvas bucket caps and matching mules, basically the Mid-West's Gucci. However there are still a few good things about Coach left, like these two bags. Both are across-the-waist train engineer-type bags, and they are from Coach's original line. The smaller tan bag runs for around $298 and the larger black bag for $258.

Le Prince Jardinier

Le Prince Jardinier is a gardening, picnic-ing shop based out of Paris. I love just about everything they have to offer, and surprisingly they are all at very reasonable prices. Since I don't actually have a garden (yet) the bag is about the only thing that makes sense to own right now, and it's only 48.00 €. These are just some of the highlights.

Little dishes

I love these porcelain bowls by artist Hella Jongerius. I want one for every room.

101st Post

To celebrate my 101st post I will talk about the charmed life I used to lead...actually I won't but, I really did enjoy spending my Saturday evenings at The Breakers in Palm Beach. It makes me wonder if I was ever a 'real' high school girl. Hell, I carried a clutch instead of a backpack by the time I was in my junior year. Granted I had those Taco Bell runs in the middle of the night, but a few times doesn't count. What changed? I think I might be living in a completely different world. I don't feel the same, and I certainly don't feel the same about luxury and excess. I miss convenience but I don't miss wasteful living. My head's been cleared and the game is over.

Audrey Hepburn & Ip

I'm not Audrey obsessed like most girls, but I am obsessed with the fact that she actually had a pet deer named Ip. I also really love these photos and the spaces they were photographed in. You can find more rare photos of Audrey (for you crazed Audrey-ers) on this flickr account.

Belts

In addition to the pants below, these belts are fantastic. All from Ralph Lauren.

Pants

I need all of these pants to fulfill my need to be an Argentine polo player/gaucho cowgirl. All available from Ralph Lauren. Sadly when I came across these pants, it seems they removed or sold out of the Navajo wrap that I loved to death. How the hell am I going to complete my look without that damn wrap?

My Kind of Bride

This bride looks lovely. This is the way they should look. Innocent, pure (even if they are not), classic, and sentimental. None of the strapless, big hair, dyed-to-match shoes nonsense. The rest is a must see on OnceWed.

Jai guru deva om

Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup,
They slither wildly as they slip away across the universe
Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my opened mind,
Possessing and caressing me.
Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world,
Nothing's gonna change my world.
Nothing's gonna change my world.
Nothing's gonna change my world.
Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes,
They call me on and on across the universe,
Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box they
Tumble blindly as they make their way
Across the universe
Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world,
Nothing's gonna change my world.
Nothing's gonna change my world.
Nothing's gonna change my world.
Sounds of laughter shades of love are ringing
Through my open mind inciting and inviting me
Limitless undying love which shines around me like a
million suns, it calls me on and on
Across the universe
Jai guru deva om
Nothing's gonna change my world,
Nothing's gonna change my world.
Nothing's gonna change my world.
Nothing's gonna change my world.

Norma Jeane Dougherty

I'm not typically a fan of the late Marilyn Monroe's looks (although I do like her in film), however she looks stunning in this photo that was just released. So subtle...

I need to remember this

"And those who don't have all the boxes on their life checklist checked off, put tremendous pressure on themselves to do so and live in a constant state of "when/then" future focused thinking. When I find the soulmate of my dreams, then I'll be happy. When I find my passion and my career takes off, then I'll be fulfilled. When I have money, then I will feel secure. When I loose ten pounds, then I'll be confident. This hamster wheel type of thinking keeps us in a constant state of believing there is something wrong with where we are now and keeps us focused on the destination, rather than the journey."-blogger from Huffington Post

Very Weird

So I came across these 19th century pregnancy dolls from Japan. I am truly astounded by the detail of these things. They were apparently used for both educational and entertainment purposes.

Roma

I have to constantly remind myself why I am writing my thesis on the Roma. It gets boring and tedious, but these papers are being filled, published, and made researchable in universities across the EU... hopefully mine will make a difference. God help me through this process.
